On the weekend I was cleaning up the front entrance to my house and realized that my brass mailbox was a lovely shade of rust and badly in need of replacing... or at least in bad need of a facelift..... I brought my mailbox in to my craft room to see what could be done....
I bought a calendar last December from Michaels and the main reason I bought it was because I loved the calendar pages with gorgeous flowers and birds, which I secretly knew I would use some day for an art project.
My neighbour Helena and her daughter Carli came over to work on their hand made Christmas cards that I designed for them. While they worked on their cards I started decoupaging my mail box.
As you can see, my dog Taggart and cat Cheeto like to be involved in the artistic process.....
I hope you like the result as much as I do..... It turned out so nice, it even looks hand painted..
